Is the distance between two people really important in a relationship?

I am not sure about the real answer.

You may know many friends or nice people in your life..But why ones can keep the friendship no matter how far you are...and could not keep love...

Maybe because human being have the habit of relying on the ones we love...

and when the one is not near you, we tend to feel uneasy....disturbed....

How complicated human emotions are....>.<
